Applied to the cutting edge with the very acute primary angle of 10° per side, the very fine micro bevel, manually ground at an angle of 15-20°, ensures that the cutting edge is less sensitive and retains its extremely high sharpness for longer.The sharpness is retested after the micro bevel has been applied. If the value deviates more than 10% from the originally measured sharpness, the new value is entered on the certificate.ATTENTION:If all knives in the order or a set are to receive a micro bevel, the micro bevel must be ordered in the same quantity as the number of individual knives contained in the order.If not all knives in an order are to be micro beveled, please add a note in the shopping cart during the ordering process indicating which of the knives are to be micro beveled.

  • A micro bevel is a second bevel at the tip of the cutting edge, which is applied at a larger angle and thus strengthens the cutting edge on a micro level. In cutting performance tests, a micro bevel will lead to a slight reduction in initial sharpness on one hand, but will increase stability so that the blade remains sharp for longer.
